BACKGROUND
An established authority on immersive audio, Emily has been a part of the Nashville music community for almost a decade.
In 2022, Emily earned her Master of Science in Audio Engineering Technology from Belmont University where she built her degree around immersive audio; studying the technology, science, and practical skill set necessary to create impactful and expressive immersive music mixes. She conducted thesis level research on immersive music technologies and the utilization of various different mastering techniques to create a better listening experience for consumers.
Emily maintains impeccable audio acumen and an innate understanding of audio technology, both of which landed her in exclusive positions at Universal Music Group (UMG) and Grammy-award winning music studios in Nashville and New York City. Emily has been a part of projects for multiple major label artists including Carrie Underwood, David Guetta, Lauren Daigle, and Avery Anna.
In addition to her studio work, Emily has provided technical audio editing, mixing, and quality assurance for UMG’s brand-new, music-centric wellness app Sollos, which uses “cognitive science and proprietary audio technology to support focus, relaxation, and sleep.

This process involves fine-tuning spatial dynamics, optimizing balance and tonal consistency, and ensuring the mix adheres to Dolby’s standards while preserving the emotional impact of the music.
Mastering for Dolby Atmos, the focus of my academic research, is something I’ve long advocated for people to prioritize and understand. With extensive experience in both stereo and Dolby Atmos mastering, I’ve dedicated myself to bridging proven techniques from traditional mastering with the possibilities of this cutting-edge technology.
